The Association of Pathology Chairs (APC) invites APC members, their faculty, staff, trainees, and other stakeholders to submit abstracts for poster presentation at the 52nd APC Annual Meeting on July 21 to 24, 2019 at the Seaport Boston Hotel in Boston, Massachusetts. Abstracts should enhance the overarching theme of Innovation through Collective Excellence: Shaping the Future of Pathology by describing innovative teams and multi-disciplinary partnerships that advance research, education, practice, advocacy, leadership or diversity. Sharing your creative work at the annual meeting, so that colleagues can learn from your experiences, is at the heart of collective excellence!

NEW THIS YEAR: All posters will be reviewed by a panel of judges and attendees. Posters receiving the highest ratings will be honored at the Awards Lunch on Tuesday, July 23, 2019. All posters will also be reviewed by the editors of Academic Pathology for meritorious fee waivers, if a manuscript based on the abstract is published in the journal.

The deadline for submissions is 11:59 p.m. Eastern on Monday, December 3, 2018. Submissions will be ranked by the 2019 Program Steering Committee. All accepted abstracts will be displayed as posters throughout the meeting and published in APC’s flagship journal, Academic Pathology (with permission of the corresponding authors). Abstracts published previously elsewhere may be submitted with appropriate annotation of prior publication. There is no abstract submission fee. However, poster presenters are required to fund their own travel to the meeting and meeting registration.

APC gratefully acknowledges the support of the following 2019 Program Steering Committee members in organizing the meeting:  James Crawford, Mary Furlong, Jeffrey Golden, Marjorie Grafe, Beth Hansell, Karen Kaul, Barbara Knollmann-Ritschel, David Louis, Robert Mrak, Melissa Pessin, Deborah Powell, Michael Prystowsky, David Roth, Fred Sanfilippo, Brian Smith, John Tomaszewski, Myra Wilkerson, and Dani Zander.
